If you can't find the right template, it's not difficult to design your own from scratch. Customizing a Template Brochure. Step 1. Launch Microsoft Word, click the File menu and select New. Type Brochure in the Search field to find a brochure template. Use the categories displayed in the menu to narrow down your search. Click on any template to see the preview, or double- click it to open it.
Step 2. Examine the layout before you begin customizing it. If your printer prints only one side at a time, print the first page, then reinsert the paper and print the second page on the opposite side. Tip. If you're not certain which side is up when printing pages on a one- sided printer, make a pencil mark on the top page when you print the first page.
